Oranje…2 Months Later

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

Man I’m bad at keeping this thing up to date…but better late than never, right?  So here’s the skinny.Oranje was great.  Lots of cool art, good music, and interesting people.  I’ll almost certainly try to be a part of it again next year.  I sold a few things, but mostly it was just me standing around and having hundreds of people walk through my booth and telling me how awesome my work was.  Not a huge business success, but it sure was good for the old ego.

The art festival was in this old warehouse thing that clearly doesn’t get used more than once a year (so dusty…), but it worked well for this event.  Here’s my booth, with a small and fuzzy view of my amazingly rad Pacman board that is not yet available for public consumption (I’m not even gonna post a real picture of it because I know when I do, it’s gonna be linked on a bunch of blogs and I only have two of them made right now…you only get that initial rush of links and orders once).

More to come.

ONE NIGHT ONLY!!

Saturday, September 19th, 2009

Last minute update here from 1337mogirlf, 1337motif’s (you guessed it) girlfriend. Mr. Motif says:

“Being the super-responsible person that I am, I want to let everyone know that just six and a half hours from the time of this posting, I will be making my first-ever LIVE appearance at an alternative arts festival, ORANJE, in Indianapolis. Check out their website for more info!”

In Cameron’s defense, he’s been working his fingers to the bone to get stuff ready to show. So tonight from 8pm-2am, if you’re in the Indianapolis area, check it out! In addition to the Space Invader cutting boards he’s made so popular at ThinkGeek, and the TriForce boards & Space Invader coasters, necklaces, & keychains he’s sold on four continents from Etsy, he’ll be making the WORLD PREMIERE of the PacMan cutting boards (red ghost won! I have one, and it’s gorgeous!!) and his very first JEWELRY LINE!!! The stuff in it is absolutely beautiful. He brings out the natural beauty in the wood with simple shapes and gorgeous finishing. Tonight he’ll have necklaces and earrings, and hopefully other items will be joining the line soon. I’ll see if I can get some pictures online for y’all to drool over, just in case you can’t make it tonight.
