So I have just put a batch of Triforce boards up on Etsy, and I am currently working on a batch of Space Invaders boards to fill the new ThinkGeek order. I am really looking forward to finishing, because I am planning to start on a new Pacman design as soon as I have time to do it. The problem is, I am not sure which design to use, so I am turning to you, dear internet, to help me make this decision. Here are the two current leading designs.
I like both, though personally I think the red one is cooler with Pacman and the Ghost racing toward the powerup, but a few people have told me it’s a bit crowded, which I can totally see. Either one is going to end up costing more than my current boards because instead of 1 1/4 inch squares, they will be 1/2 inch squares, and thus much more work. Also, the one with the red ghost would require the use of bloodwood, which is an exotic, and therefore, pricey. I wouldn’t think either would be outside of the $150 to $175 range, which I know is way expensive, but if you look for handmade cutting boards online, I think I would still be a bit under the median price for something of this size and complexity.

If you could make the characters a bit smaller (not easy to do in this medium I know) I think that the “crowded” look would be fixed.
BTW, I *LOVE* my Space Invader cutting board! Most likely I’ll be snagging something else of yours soonish (as soon as I get up some $$$

i agree, its a little crowded, but the second design is pretty great, i like the addition of color.

I like the ghost in the second one, but I think the layout of the first one (with the smaller dot) is better. So maybe mix the two?

I personally prefer the second design, even though it is a little crowded.

I really really reallllly love the second one…as Jessica said, maybe just minimizing the dot size a bit?
I think I may have to hold out for this one because in my heart pac-man always wins over space invaders hehe

I’m telling you, a pacman cheese cutting board is the real deal. shorter and longer with smaller pixels! yeah! I’d buy one!

You think you don’t keep up! I’ve had your site address taped up in my desk area for almost a year and just now visited. The holidays are coming up and I can’t resist trying to find the perfect something for some one of my lovely nieces ‘r nephews…I’ll check with the outfit that sells the cutting boards you’re working on now, they are beautiful but they ARE pricey!!!! Cool site. Is that 700)??
